Vilij ABA earns preliminary accreditation with BHCOE

Judge us by our actions | Vilij ABA achieves preliminary accreditation from the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence from Inception

We are pleased to announce that Vilij ABA has received preliminary accreditation with the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE). BHCOE Accreditation is an earned certification and a distinction among ABA providers that demonstrates an organization’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis. The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) grants accreditation to organizations who meet the standards for clinical and operational quality.

“Everyone at Vilij shares our mission and commitment to care”, shared Clinical Director Sumita Singh Argianas, “that said, when parents are looking for ABA providers there can be an echo chamber with marketers all saying the same thing. We like to be judged by our actions, our efforts and earned preliminary accreditation is just one more way we’re accountable to our families, our fellow team members, and the ABA profession”.

BHCOE is the international accrediting body specific to applied behavior analysis. It offers different types of accreditations. Vilij ABA has earned a one-year Preliminary Accreditation, a category for new organizations. We intend to pursue Full Accreditation as we continue to grow. The requisite standards are based on quality measures for ABA determined by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

“We’re excited to be a part of the BHCOE community and welcome how they’ve made us a better provider”, shared Sumita, “excellence in ABA doesn’t happen by accident and sometimes, it takes a Village”.

One of the foundational tools in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) that helps achieve this understanding is ABC data collection. This structured approach to observing and analyzing behaviors allows parents and professionals to recognize patterns, gain insight into the child’s experiences, and develop interventions that are both effective and responsive to their needs.
